I find your last paragraph extremely reassuring. I can't think of any other report on the so much work thing that could possibly be *more* reassuring, in fact. Good work!

I would like to say something intelligent about the Mom stuff, but I have nothing. Your reports sound like you and your mother are both doing a tremendous job of being very... *good* at talking about the emotional stuff and also being yourselves in your real relationship that you already have.
